7 Tips to Ensure Your Home is at its' Best for a Successful Spring Sale

 

Spring is often seen as the optimum time to sell, but there are also many other homes on the market at this time. In order to stand out from the crowd and make the best impression these tips will put you on the right path.

  1. Declutter – inside and out

You still want a home to look lived in, but give people the chance to imagine their own belongings in your home.

  1. Create an Impressive Entrance

First impressions count, so you want your front garden and entry to your home to make an impact. A freshly mown lawn says this property has been well looked after. Consider importing some flowering plants for the duration of your sales campaign, they are always appealing.

  1. Repairs & Maintenance

If there are any small jobs to be done - lights out, creaky doors, chipped paintwork, etc. – do these before your home is on the market.

  1. Clean Windows and Doors

Not only does clean glass let in alot more light, it makes a home much more appealing to potential buyers.

  1. Fresh Air

Sometimes after winter a home can have a musty smell from rain and closed windows over an extended period. It is amazing how opening up the doors and windows on a regular basis can bring fresh air into your home.

It is often easier to get a good friend or a professional stylist to help you make the most of your furnishings and home accessories. Remember you are not buying your home – it has to appeal to a range of people. Some sophisticated styling in the main rooms can make a big difference to the presentation of your home.
