Harmony Day - March 21st

Today is Harmony Day, a day to celebrate Australian multiculturalism and all the different cultures that make up this great land of ours. To celebrate Harmony Day, we bring you some statistics about Australia’s diversity (which you can use to strike up one of those meaningful conversations):

• 49% of Australians were born overseas or have at least one parent who was
• Apart from English, the next most common languages spoken in Australia are Mandarin, Arabic, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Italian, Greek, Tagalog/Filipino, Hindi, Spanish and Punjab
• We identify with over 300 ancestries
• 85% of Australians agree multiculturalism has been good for Australia
