Routine Inspections During Your Tenancy

During your tenancy the landlord/agent will conduct routine inspections of the property.

Usually they will carry out an inspection 3 months into the tenancy & then every 6 months after that.

Legally up to 4 inspections can be carried out during a 12 month period.

You will be advised in writing via email & SMS of the inspection date & time & at least 7 days
prior to the inspection taking place.

It’s always a good idea if you would like to be present for the inspection to contact the agent/landlord
& arrange a day/time that suits.

The main purpose is to provide a report to the landlord that the property is being maintained, and also to check for any repairs and make recommendations to the landlord.

Note that at the inspections the agent/landlord may also photograph any repairs required & the
property.
