Sportman's Lunch Success for Sargood

Sargood is a not for profit partnership bringing together government and private funding with strong community support.

The Collaroy Beach Services Club hosted a fundraising lunch recently to coincide with the current British and Irish Lions’ Rugby Tour in Australia.  Rugby commentator Gordon Bray joined guest speakers, renowned Coach and Captain pairing Rod Macqueen and John Eales. They shared their stories of the successful 2001 tour and gave their insights into this year’s series.

The event raised $25,000 and all proceeds will help fund technology equipment for the Sargood Centre at Collaroy for when it opens in 2014. Sargood aims to equip people living with a spinal cord injury with the confidence and skills to live an independent and rewarding life.  Like to know more log onto:     http://www.sargood.org.au/
